The Order of the First Families of Maryland
Thank you for visiting our website. We welcome your interest in the Order of the First Families of Maryland.
I was honored to be elected as Governor General in 2026, and I am pleased to continue the work of the previous administration in promoting the early history of the Maryland colony and the amazing work of our ancestors.
We are a society dedicated to preserving the history of those early colonists who settled the Colony of Maryland, from the first arriving at St. Clements Island in 1634 through those who arrived by December 31, 1734.
I share my Maryland heritage with anyone and everyone and encourage you to do the same. There are so many amazing stories to tell!
We will continue to plan events in Maryland in the coming year, providing opportunities for everyone to connect with the places and experiences of those early settlers. Participating in celebrations of Maryland Day held annually on March 25 will continue to be a priority for the Order and me.
We hope you will consider joining our society and honoring your Maryland ancestors.
